“Malaya ka na at masaya.”
I quote my best-est friend.
My family friends and I had an activity to celebrate Philippine’s Independence Day yesterday. Everyone was told to wear costumes but they did not tell me. Saya diba? I was texting Mac and all he told me to bring were hair pins and white long sleeves. Yes, so ako lang yung naka shirt and shorts. Good thing nakahanap ng palusot sina Angel to save my ass. Yep, I brought Alessandra. Oh diba, impromptu lahat?
So all they did the whole time was tease me that I am the best in costume. Hahaha! I don’t have a whole body picture if you want to see my best foot forward-costume.
We had activities like learning about Filipino History and Heroes. It was very helpful though I realized that I forgot almost everything that I studied in school before. Partida, History is one of my favorite subjects plus Political Science. Medyo lakas talaga ng tama ng anesthesia the Disney Princess. Char. As in umabot mga questions and discussions sa Trece Martires and ano mga names nila (omg sobrang nagkaroon pa kami ng 4 correct answers, akalain mo yun? Pwede bang kasama rin ako dun kasi nagpaka-marytr ako? Hahaha). Also the names of who made the Filipino flag. Uhm, ano pa ba? Yung Magdalo at Magdiwang group ni Andres Bonifacio. Yung walong sinag chorva I don’t really remember haha! But it was all good. I really felt the spirit of being a Filipino when looking back to these episodes in our history. :)
So before we started, every group took a photo. I just can’t provide photos for our group since we were in the photo haha.
Presenting Mr. General Luma!
Matt was so cute!!! Dr. Jose Rizal! :)
Lakas nanaman mang-trip ni Angelo hahaha. This was supposed to be a solo photo of Uriel. Haha!
Benta rin ng costume ni Angel. Para-paraan. Taena! May dala siyang lumang Panasonic mobile phone tapos isang malaking lumang radyo plus maleta. Hahaha hatalang mga tamad mag-suot ng costume. Check niyo yung mga bling-blings niya haha
I think Mac is trying to portray Dr. Jose Rizal but he turned out to be Waiter Jose Rizal.
Hi from the sisters! Char (Diba, Independence Day tapos Led Zep pa shirt ko haha)
We had one activity wherein you had to make someone’s face ugly. Eh yung panget na nga, pinapanget pa?! Hahaha! Angge (Mac’s wife) did this to him. Nakaganti na sa wakas! Haha!
Re-enactment of the pag-araro gamit kalabaw. Haha!
Hello from me and my brother-in-law! Char #TeamAngel
The famous tinikling pero Tatlong Bibe yung background music hahaha. Char lang yun. I was the one who represented our team. Infair, meron parin akong da moves! Sorry, no photo again. Haha!
Kayo nalang mag-judge if he’s Ninoy Aquino, Bam Aquino or… Joshua Aquino HAHAHA
Pandanggo Sa Ilaw. Sobrang bright ng ilaw noh? May shadow na nagsasayaw.
Kaya mo yan Tita Nitz!
Kamusta ang European costume ni Tita Sonia? Si Josephine Bracken daw siya. Ang nanay ko? Hindi ko alam kung sino pino-portray niya. Hahaha
The ever-so-hugot lecture na natamaan ako! Will blog about the lessons/lecture in a separate entry para ramdam na ramdam ang hugot! Char. Naka-ilang patama at sermon ako dito. Ang masaklap, nandito rin nanay ko hahaha
Selfie with Kuya Uriel!
Selfie with Angge :)
Actually sobrang saya namin kahapon. Lakas ng mga asaran and all. I missed spending time with these people. They are worth ng time and pagod. Sabi pa nga nila kahapon, ngayon lang daw ulit sumakit mga puso at tiyan namin kakatawa. And everytime naman magkikita kami is ganun talaga. Ramdam mo ang saya at pagmamahalan.
I cannot wait for next Wednesday since we’re all going to see each other again to celebrate the foundation’s 18th Anniversary! Yes, debut na ng AVFI and may costume theme nanaman kami. So ano kayang pwede kong costume sa Wednesday? Eh galing pa akong work nun. Hmmm. DH ulit? Hahaha!
Hope you had a good celebration of Independence Day! Just not about being independent or being single, it’s about Filipino pride and culture :)
